By providing landscaping and tree services in Cortez and surrounding areas, we’re already caring for our community. With every tree we plant and each bit of acreage we shape, we’re helping to bring beauty and good health to Southwest Colorado.

 

But we want to do more! That’s why we donated trees to enrich the campuses of Montezuma Cortez Middle School and Southwest Open School. And we led a volunteer effort to plant and prune at The Valley Inn assisted living facility in Mancos.

It has been our privilege to have several veterans work with us at Legacy Tree Solutions over the years, and it’s a priority to our team to recognize their contributions to our company and country. We took the opportunity to honor veterans with a tree planting at the Cortez Cemetery, donating the trees and organizing a team to install them.

 

Perhaps most important in the long run, we use our time to educate others about the vital nature trees and plants play in our lives. We are always delighted to give presentations to garden clubs, in classrooms, and wherever people want to learn. With this educational mission in mind, we’ve volunteered on the Cortez Parks and Recreation and Forest Advisory Board for several years to help guide them in their management of our urban forest. We participate in Cortez Arbor Day as well.
